We'll help you find your state requirements
Audiology Assistant / Technicians requirements will vary by state. Some states have clear requirements for Audiology Support Personnel and some states do not list or restrict the role of an Audiology Assistant/Technician. The requirements will change as time goes on. So check back often. We will try to help you find the most accurate information for these requirements.
Below, you will find a list of states and the supporting documentation for requirements. As mentioned before, not every state lists or has requirements as of yet. Those that do will have a link to their Laws and Regulations.
For those states that do not, you can contact us to ask how to implement an Audiology Assistant into your practice or clinic.
Additional information
The second source for information is the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) website.
The two PDF documents linked below will help you find the general breakdown of requirements for your state.
Note: The links below show BOTH Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and Audiology Assistant requirements. Many states list requirements for SLPA but not Audiology Assistants.
